Marketing generally speaking is a vast and complicated beast which requires knowledge and effort to truly master and leverage it for the full potential to improve your brand, let alone your organization. Any good internet marketing strategy can effectively allow you to build your business online. However, as much internet entrepreneurs look to expand their presence online and grow their businesses further, I find that many of them fail to create a complete marketing and business development strategy, focusing virtually all their efforts online. Sadly, it is a HUGE mistake on his or her part.

Over the course of my career being an entrepreneur, business owner and web design service, I've conducted business with lots of individuals and businesses all looking to increase their reach, build a stronger brand awareness and make a strong internet presence. Yet through all their questions, two common fears continually rang through within my discussions with many of them. They either feared the concept of taking on a major internet campaign or they felt that internet marketing would replace their tried and true traditional marketing methods. Those two fears have their roots within the fact that the vast majority of them simply lacked the appropriate knowledge necessary to notice that both an internet marketing and traditional online strategy should compliment the other providing reciprocal support of the various strengths. I love to refer to this more truth of a marketing strategy as "blended marketing".

Many organisations fail to integrate both online marketing and traditional marketing strategies together. By taking advantage of the strengths of both an online marketing and traditional web marketing strategy, you will better position yourself and/or your company for greater success.

The idea of a blended web marketing strategy is to create a complete online marketing strategy which takes advantage of the different strengths of both an online marketing strategy and a traditional marketing strategy where you work to enhance your search engine rankings and internet exposure, yet still time increasing your reach and exposure offline too.

Different aspects of a blended online marketing strategy can be for example, utilising an email marketing campaign in conjunction with a direct mail campaign to provide a specific promotion to some select group of recipients. Some marketing via email systems provide a service where they'll also send a direct mail piece on your email list provided you've got addresses for each recipient inside your list. This is just an advanced example of how a blended web marketing strategy can work to ensure broader reach from multiple fronts.

Creating a Blended Online marketing strategy

Creating a blended web marketing strategy isn't all that difficult knowing your target audience and possess identified how to reach them. From there, you can craft an advertising and marketing strategy that will allow one to reach your target market through multiple fronts to make certain your message is heard.

The first step is to conduct researching the market (yes you have to do this and you cannot skip this method). When conducting researching the market you need to identify:

 Who Your Target Audience Is
 Where They Hang Out
 How to Reach Them
 What are Their demands
 How You Can Fill Their Need
 Will They purchase

Identifying a market for whatever you are offering is essential for the success of any business whether online or off.

The second step is to begin crafting your blended marketing strategy to incorporate the various resources open to reach your market. That's where the fun begins! Be creative with this and make sure you explore all possible choices to get your message over to market. For example, you may want to include the various resources to syndicate your posts not just for online purposes but in addition for offline purposes, for example industry magazines and journals. In case you are creating an email marketing strategy, how will you mirror this effort offline through junk mail pieces? If you are going to utilize the Third Tribe concept to your online marketing, what real-world business networking and industry convention events will you attend to create brand awareness? Consider the method that you are going to integrate social media marketing into your blended marketing and the way can you drive individuals to follow you from your offline efforts?
